One of my goals in life is to somehow make a meaningful difference to society, be it big or small. I hope to achieve this through the application of my skills towards new an innovative technology that will hopefully better society.
I am also a people person. I love meeting new people and hearing different stories and perspectives from others that have lived a different life from me. I hope to be able to work in a tight knit team in the future, making irreplaceable connections along the way.
Finally I am quite passionate about the environment. While technology is the future, humanity will not last very long until we start protecting the environment around us. Global warming is a pressing issue that needs to be addressed now before it becomes too late.
I would consider myself someone who has many hobbies, which is fuelled by my inherently curious nature. Some of my notable hobbies are:
Sports:
I am a big fan of sports, and love both watching and playing, and I believe it is the best way to stay healthy and make meaningful relationships. I have experience playing tennis, soccer, volleyball, swimming and badminton.
Watching anime and documentaries:
My favourite two things to watch are anime and documentaries. I believe that anime is one of the greatest mediums for story telling, and ways to immerse yourself into another world. Documentaries and infographic Youtube channels on the other hand (such as Kurzgesagt and Vsauce) feed into my love for learning new and fun facts, and expanding my knowledge horizons.
My name is Harry Wang and I am a final year Computing and Software Systems student at The University of Melbourne. I am currently living in Melbourne Australia and eager to enter the workforce.
I am an extremely curious person and love solving problem in new and innovative ways. This leads into my interests in new ideas and technologies, as I believe that technological advancements will be the main driving factor in solving many future societal problems.
As seen on the left, I have had some experience coding in C, C++, Java, Python, Haskell and HTML/CSS. I believe this experience has laid a great foundation for me to quickly pick up and learn any other coding language in the future.
